This piece is another shift in perspective—that small sights and experiences that have become unremarkable didn’t start out that way. We often pass a field of daisies and think nothing of it.
My children and I take “flower walks” where we put tape around our wrists and find flowers to stick on to make bracelets. A walk around the block can take 30 minutes, but they are truly in awe of dandelions and daisies. I’m often guilty of rushing them through life without seeing things the way they do. Children see treasure in everything, what if we got a little bit of that magic back?
This piece is intended to remind you to slow down and see life the way children do; to see daisies and dandelions as worth stopping for.
