Art intended to overwhelm

My floral work examines the experience of being overwhelmed not by hardship, but by beauty, abundance, and objective good. I am interested in those moments that ask us to pause — to look longer, notice more, and uncover new details with each return. Through my paintings, I explore the value of slowing down in a fast-moving world and the quiet wisdom found in nature, simplicity, and intentional living.

As an Alexandria-based artist and mother of three young children, I navigate a daily life shaped by noise, movement, and constant demands. In my studio practice, I make space for stillness and discipline, working only after my children are asleep. That rhythm has become integral to my process, resulting in a kind of chaotic beauty that cannot be created the same way twice.
