THE HERITAGE COLLECTION

featuring five beloved National Parks

A collection of five landscape watercolor paintings on display in a room, with some leaning against a fireplace and others on an easel, featuring mountains, lakes, and trees.

Why heritage matters

The HERITAGE series is rooted in appreciation, awe, and a deep love for where you come from—and the wild places that call you onward. We don’t choose where we’re born, to whom, or the history we inherit, but we do choose which trails we follow, which horizons we chase, and which moments we carry forward and pass down. There is always beauty if we look for it.

In a world where everywhere feels only a click away, it is easy to forget the thrill of standing at the edge of a canyon, under a vault of stars, or in the quiet of an old-growth forest. This series invites you to choose the national parks and wild spaces you’ve connected with—whether on childhood road trips or once-in-a-lifetime adventures—and hang them on your walls as daily reminders of the peaks, valleys, and vistas that shaped you, along with millions of fellow travelers across this country.

My hope is that these pieces kindle a sense of gratitude and adventure in you, and invite the kind of conversations and stories that surface when someone realizes they’ve stood in the very same places you have.

A woman with long dark hair, wearing a denim jacket and jeans, sitting on the wooden floor in front of several framed landscape watercolor paintings, smiling and holding a paintbrush, with a large window in the background showing trees and blue sky.

The off-trail moments

These pieces came to life over the course of several months, during a pause after a difficult diagnosis. At first, all I could manage was ten minutes at the easel, then thirty, eventually building back up to an hour or two a day. Returning to these scenes—parks and vistas stretching across the country—steadied and grounded me in ways I never expected.

On the days when I had no energy, I could still travel in my mind, wandering through mountains, forests, and canyons brushstroke by brushstroke. Each painting became a small adventure and a promise to my future self: that one day I’ll have the strength to take my children into these landscapes in person and show them this beautiful country we call home.

I’m grateful to say I’m healing, and I’m so proud of this collection of paintings that helped me get here.

16×16” framed in raw wood. Wired to hang.

Glowing redrock walls, deep shadowed canyons, and a slice of sky overhead give this Zion piece its immersive, almost cinematic feel. The warm desert light pulls you into that in-between space where time slows down, problems feel smaller, and every curve in the canyon feels like adventure. Ideal for anyone who remembers the awe of standing before towering bands of red, purple, and gold—or dreams of feeling that for the first time.

11×14” framed in raw wood. Wired to hang.

Soaring trunks and a soft, romantic fog define this ode to the redwoods. The painting captures the hush of standing in endless green, surrounded by centuries of life rising above and rooted deep below. Hang it as a daily reminder to look up, slow down, and remember the awe of standing in a living cathedral that has watched centuries pass beneath its branches.

36×36” framed in raw wood. Wired to hang.

This painting channels the thin, alpine air and sweeping drama of Rocky Mountain National Park. Jagged peaks, still waters, and layered woods invite your eye to wander, echoing the thrill of switchback trails and the peace that overcomes you standing before towering summits. It is made for anyone who feels most at home in the mountains, those who feel that nothing else quite compares.

This piece carries a deeper personal significance, as it was the painting on my easel when I was hospitalized. Returning to it while I was regaining strength was both an immense challenge and an unexpected source of calm.

There is no place more grounding or sacred to me than Rocky Mountain National Park, and I am not sure I could have pushed through for any other subject. This painting took far longer than my usual work, and finishing it felt less like completing a canvas and more like reaching my own private summit.

16×16” framed in raw wood. Wired to hang.

Rugged granite cliffs, crashing Atlantic waves, and soft morning light come together in this painting of Acadia. The piece captures that crisp, salt-heavy air and the feeling of standing at the edge of the continent, watching soft light wash over rocky shores and evergreen-covered hills. Hang it where you want to remember cool ocean breezes, quiet hikes, and the wild, weathered beauty of the Maine coast.

This Glacier-inspired painting captures the sharp, sun-drenched peaks of the northern Rockies. There is a sense of stillness here—nestled among the wildflowers, it’s easy to imagine a gentle mountain breeze. This piece brings a touch of crisp mountain air indoors, perfect for anyone who’s fallen in love with alpine flowers, a golden sunrise, and that strangely comforting feeling of being very small at the foot of towering mountains.
