ROCKY MOUNTAIN

36×36” framed in raw wood. Wired to hang.

This painting channels the thin, alpine air and sweeping drama of Rocky Mountain National Park. Jagged peaks, still waters, and layered woods invite your eye to wander, echoing the thrill of switchback trails and the peace that overcomes you standing before towering summits. It is made for anyone who feels most at home in the mountains, those who feel that nothing else quite compares.

This piece carries a deeper personal significance, as it was the painting on my easel when I was hospitalized. Returning to it while I was regaining strength was both an immense challenge and an unexpected source of calm.

There is no place more grounding or sacred to me than Rocky Mountain National Park, and I am not sure I could have pushed through for any other subject. This painting took far longer than my usual work, and finishing it felt less like completing a canvas and more like reaching my own private summit.
