The practice of turning toward the good

This series is inspired by heliotropic flowers—blooms that orient themselves toward the sun, with some even tracking its movement across the sky throughout the day. In translating this natural phenomenon to canvas, I reflected on the quiet discipline of attention: what we choose to face, to absorb, and to grow toward.

Each piece invites consideration of where our energy is directed. Do we turn toward what sustains and strengthens us, or toward what depletes and distracts? These works draw from the subtle intelligence of nature, offering a visual meditation on intentional living.

My hope is that collectors experience a sense of calm, clarity, and quiet empowerment in these paintings—a reminder that attention is a choice, and that what we choose to focus on can shape not only our daily lives, but the impact we have in the world.
